I'mm baaack!
So yeah, it's been a while since this forum has seen some attention, so I figured I'd share my latest project with you guys! *Flashback* ...Remember when I released my civic mod, and it sorta bombed? Wellllll, now I've improved on it BIG TIME. I finally fixed the engine setup and the retarded gear ratios. Also made some major changes in its overall appearance. It finally puts down some serious power, reaching a top speed of 223 km/h (on split diff). I've basically turned a horrid mess of a car into a beast and gone from a (IRL equivalent) 1.8L I-4, to a twin turbo, 4L V8 in power!
I'm still open to helpful advice as to what to improve on next.
What's New?
-FIXED: Gear ratios - All its gear transitions are smooth as ever
-FIXED: Ugly-ass hood - The old hood was a (failed) attempt at carbon fiber, but now it's an actual CF texture.
-ADDED: Lights - Not only did I texture in a nicer rear indicator panel, but I've actually included working lights; including headlights, brake lights, reverse lights, and turn signals.
-ADDED: Stickers - I've plastered the side all in racing logos and aftermarket parts companies.
-ADDED: Roof scoop - (self-explanatory)
-ADDED: New engine - There is finally an engine in the engine bay. Yes, a duel carbureted V8 makes no sense in a honda civic, but neither does RWD.
-ADDED: RWD + Differentials - WHY??? The IRL civic is FWD!! I know, I know, I makes no sense, but now it has the options for open, locked, and split diffs. Still, WHY??? Because now it can drift!
-ADDED: DRIFTING ABILITIES!!! - Now you can drift a civic! I've set it up so there is just the right amount of wheel slip, so that (with a little skill) you can slide it, but not spinout.
-NOT FIXED: Overly rigid mesh - The mesh is still way more rigid than I'd want it to be. Honesty, it's because I don't know how to fix it. I think it's in the "set beam defaults" but I couldn't be bothered to try that. Any ideas?
But before you go... SET THE DIFF TO SPLIT (PRESS "W") IF YOU WANT TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT WITHOUT IT SPINNING EVERYWHERE!
